Questar's Businesses
Questar's exploration and production business is conducted through Market Resources' subsidiaries Questar Exploration & Production and Wexpro. Questar Exploration & Production explores for, acquires, develops, and produces natural gas and oil. Questar Exploration & Production focuses on lower-risk development projects and acquisitions in its core Rocky Mountain and Midcontinent operating areas. Division offices are located in Denver, Tulsa and Oklahoma City. Wexpro develops and produces gas and oil for affiliate Questar Gas under the terms of a long-standing agreement with the states of Utah and Wyoming.
Questar Gas Management provides affiliate and third-party producers with gas-gathering and processing services through facilities in Wyoming, Utah and Colorado. Gas Management is a majority owner of Rendezvous Gas Services, which provides gas-gathering services in western Wyoming. Questar Gas Management is also part owner of Uintah Basin Field Services and Three Rivers Gathering, both of which operate facilities in eastern Utah.
Questar Energy Trading markets equity and third-party gas and oil in the Rocky Mountains, Pacific Northwest and Midcontinent. Questar Energy Trading also contracts for capacity on pipelines and at Clay Basin, a large storage facility owned by Questar Pipeline. Through Clear Creek Storage Company, Questar Energy Trading owns and operates an underground gas-storage reservoir in southwestern Wyoming.
Questar Pipeline transports and stores natural gas. Questar's pipelines interconnect with major pipelines in Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and California. Questar Pipeline's system is strategically located to serve major gas-producing basins in Utah, Wyoming, western Colorado and New Mexico. Questar Pipeline owns and operates the Clay Basin storage facility, the largest underground-storage reservoir in the Rocky Mountain region.
Questar Gas provides retail natural gas-distribution service to nearly 900,000 customers in Utah, southwestern Wyoming and southeastern Idaho. Questar Gas is regulated by public service commissions in Utah and Wyoming.
