QUESTAR CORP. ANNOUNCES MANAGEMENT AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS APPOINTMENTS

SALT LAKE CITY -- Questar Corp. (NYSE:STR) has announced a management move in its regulated operations and the appointment of a new member of the corporation's board of directors.

Alan K. Allred has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer of sub-holding company Questar Regulated Services (QRS) and all its subsidiaries, including Questar Gas Co. and Questar Pipeline Co. Allred reports to QRS President and CEO Nick Rose.

Charles B. Stanley has been elected to the corporation's board of directors. Stanley was recently named President and Chief Executive Officer of Questar Market Resources (QMR), the corporation's exploration and production subsidiary. He succeeded Gary Nordloh who led QMR for the past decade.

Questar is a $2.9 billion diversified natural gas company headquartered in Salt Lake City. Through subsidiaries, it engages in energy development and production; gas gathering and processing; wholesale gas marketing; retail energy services; interstate gas transmission and storage; retail gas distribution; and information systems and technologies.
