At Questar we believe it is our responsibility and privilege to invest in the communities where we live and work. Our commitment is one of action. Through our employee volunteer team and shareholder-funded endowments dedicated to education and the arts, we work to strengthen the communities where we do business. By getting involved in the issues that affect the greatest number of customers and colleagues, we strive to make life better for those around us while investing in our future.

Questar concentrates financial and volunteer support on projects and organizations that share our commitment for promoting healthy cities and neighborhoods and improving the quality of life of others, especially families and children. Our primary areas of focus are:

• Health and human services
• Civic and community involvement
• Culture and the arts

Through the Questar Education Foundation, the company funds scholarships and new construction at universities and colleges throughout our service area. The Questar Arts Foundation makes possible annual donations to internationally renowned arts organizations.

In 2010 more than 85 percent of Questar employees, including contributions from retirees, gave over $464,386 to their local United Way agencies. Questar shareholders matched employee donations dollar for dollar, bringing total United Way donations to over $928,772.
